Health Manpower Development Center at Damak

 

The center runs under AMDA-Hospital.  Onward 1996, with the permission from CTEVT (Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training) of HMG Nepal, AMDA-Nepal started training program on Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM) and Laboratory Assistant (LA) in order to produce paramedical manpower for the district hospitals, Primary Health Centers and Health Posts. In 1997, Community Medicine Auxiliary (CMA) program was added. Thus, the hospital is also functioning as a teaching institute to produce trained paramedical personnel.

Every year 100 students are enrolled in the course, 40 in ANM, 40 in CMA and 20 in LA course. So far, four batches of LA , two batches of ANM and two batches of CMA have completed their course.
